April 2005

Dear Parents/Guardians,

On Tuesday, March 21st our school was visited by the team to evaluate our conflict resolution program for a Best Practice School. They were indeed impressed by our wonderful school and of course our “shining stars” who really made the day. We are awaiting the results and will inform you of the outcome.

We remind those parents and guardians who have not yet registered for the 2006 -2007 school year to please do so as soon as possible. We thank you for your continued commitment and support to Saint Gerard Majella School, a safe and peaceful school where love and respect grows for one another. We really work to instill faith, values, and good morale as well as encourage each child to be the very best he/she can be. We want all our students to do their very best to achieve excellence and to make a difference in this world.

We are approaching Holy Week which begins with Palm Sunday, April 9th.

We will be having our annual Mission Fair on Wednesday, April 26, 2006 during the school day. Please send in whatever items you may have that we can use for prizes. The poor are desperately in need of the funds we raise in this service project.

We ask you to continue to monitor and supervise your child/ren and be sure that he/she completes daily assignments. We are trying our best to teach responsibility as well as helping children to take on leadership roles as they grow in faith, hope and love.

Report cards will be distributed Monday, April 24, 2006. Please be sure all your obligations have been met. We must take that responsibility seriously and be sure that when we make our commitment, we do all we can to fulfill it.

May Jesus bless each one of you and your families with much love, peace and joy! A happy and blessed Easter season.

With love and gratitude
