Dear Parents/Guardians,

We are preparing for Holy Week and our Easter celebration. Please join us in prayer during Holy Week. Palm Sunday sets the tone for the beginning of this solemn week. Perhaps you can make time to come and join us in prayer as we enter this most special time in the church year. The time of our salvation is near! Jesus calls each of us to be His special friend! We celebrate the gift of God's great love for us, and should reach out loving one another.

Good Friday Services are held at 3:00 PM. The Living Stations of the Cross, presented by the Eighth Grade Shining Stars will take place at 7:00 PM in the Church. We hope to see you in attendance. Make this Holy Week one that will truly be special and draw you closer to the Lord Jesus! Bring your family to these celebrations. You will draw strength from the Lord! He is waiting to see you come to His table of plenty.

Easter Sunday, there will be a family liturgy at 9:00 AM.

Holy Thursday, April 4th, will be a Noon Dismissal with NO AFTER SCHOOL CARE. There will be NO SCHOOL for students beginning April 5 through April 15th. School resumes on Monday, April 16, 2007.

The Mission Fair will be held on Thursday, April 19, 2007. Please send anything you may have to help us make this event a very successful one. All money we make this day goes to the children who are less fortunate than our children and it will make a big difference in their lives.

Report cards will be sent home on Wednesday, April 25th. Please make sure all your obligations are taken care of before that date.

Our Annual Science Fair is scheduled for Thursday, April 26th. This will take place in our Saint Joseph Center beginning at 6:00 PM. We have a wonderful program prepared titled "The New Kid".See the attached flyer for more information. You don't want to miss this special performance.

THANK YOU, to those wonderful parents who are giving an hour of their time on Wednesday and Thursday evenings to help prepare for the Tricky Tray. All of you are invited to give whatever time you can to help make this event successful for the benefit of your children.

All parents should take an active role in the education of your child/ren. You need to show them you care and are interested in what is going on in their school.

Thank you to all those parents who have reregistered their child/ren for the 2007 - 2008 school year. The diocese has sent us a memo and wants us to reply to them by Friday with information regarding our numbers for the next scholastic year. It is up to you to keep St. Gerard Majella School going. Please cooperate with us so we can plan now. Text books for next year need to be ordered now for on time delivery. Financial aid and transportation aid are available now. If you re-register later, you will miss out! Please do so as soon as possible. Don't let your child's education be last on your list of priorities! Continue to market your school!

We are moving ahead and along nicely. There are many new programs and parent / home school programs that we are anxious to begin with your cooperation.

Please be sure you read the calendar and see all the important information it has regarding upcoming events and activities that we are having here at St. Gerard Majella School.

Thank you for reading the message in this newsletter carefully. Thank you for responding to the needs of your school and those of your child/ren.

The faculty joins with me in wishing you a blessed Holy Week filled with all the blessings you need. May Jesus fill your hearts and souls with His love and peace this Easter and always!

Love and peace,
