Dear Parents/Guardians,

The faculty and I thank you for making our science fair and "The New Kid" program a huge success. Over 300 family and friends came to see first hand what St. Gerard Majella School has to offer their students. We were so pleased to see the outcome of our plea to have all our students present to their parents, family members and friends. All were so attentive to our program and pleased with the evening. We want to have more parental involvement in the education of your child/ren. We are partners in the education process and you are their first teacher.

The month of May is dedicated to honoring Mary, Our Mother. We also honor all of our dear mothers and grandmothers during this month. We would like all of you, our parents/guardians to join us in giving Mary, Our Mother and Queen a special place in our lives and in our homes. We will have a May crowning in our church on Friday evening, May 11th. We ask all of our families to join us in this evening of prayer. We will have the living rosary and our Eighth Grade shining stars will crown Mary. Our First Communion shining stars will come in their First Holy Communion attire to be part of the crowning. We all need Mary in our lives to help us in our daily struggles. She has power with her Son, Jesus! Please join us at 7:00 PM and you will find peace and strength in your lives.

First Holy Communion is scheduled for Saturday, May 5th at 10:00 AM. All are invited to celebrate with us.

May 17th is the Feast of the Ascension. Our school will attend the 12:00 Noon liturgy. You are welcome to join us on this special day!

Our SPRING TRICKY TRAY is scheduled May 20, 2007 at 1:00 PM. This fundraiser is very important because it helps our school and our children. We need you to help, to be interested in your school and to be part of the success story. YOU, the parents and guardians, are vital in keeping Saint Gerard Majella School alive! Each one is important and can do something to help. We are asking you to help where you can!

Tricky Tray BASKET PREPARATION sessions for the month of May will be held on the following evenings from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the school.

This will give you some extended time to try to sell the tickets. Remember, the success of this Tricky Tray depends on you, the parents and guardians! We are doing our part the very best we can. We are counting on the interested and supporting parents of our shining stars to make this fundraiser even more successful than our last!
